How to get CSS to select ableton program/version folders

Hello. I just got CSS yesterday and I’m trying to set it up. I’m on windows. When I select the program folder from within CSS, the application is not inside and it says that the version is not in the correct folder. I have ableton live suite 12.4.6 When I check in the file explorer, I can find the application icon inside the program folder, but the versions folder is empty. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

It sounds like you’re looking in the Ableton Live installation folder rather than the folder CSS needs to locate your Live versions.

On Windows this is usually: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Ableton

You can find the correct folder by following these steps:

1. Open Windows File Explorer.
2. Copy and paste `%AppData%\Ableton` into the address bar at the top, then press Enter.
3. This should take you to a folder containing your Ableton Live version folders (e.g. `Live 11.3.35` or `Live 12.2`).
4. In CSS, set the **Live Version Folder Location** to this `Ableton` folder, rather than selecting an individual version folder.

Once selected, You will then be able to select the Live version that you’re using in the “Ableton Live version” menu which is located below “Live Version Folder Location”
