This is the controller template, when you set the Launchpad X into programmer’s mode.

All MIDI is assigned to that factory mode already.

You have to set the Launchpad X into programmer’s mode via SYSEX commands and you may have to restart the script in order to connect to the factory mode.

Technically, there’s only one hardware version of the Launchpad X, but it is part of the “Mk 3” generation of Launchpad/Launchkey/related products, so the Mk3 delineation is still appropriate.

…and a useful bit of future proofing, in case the Mk 4 line includes another Launchpad X.

(entirely possible.  I’m guessing Mk4 adds MPE to Pro and X, and velocity/aftertouch to the Mini.  that’s about the size of an incremental upgrade which users of platforms would consider replacing their hardware over.)
