Nocturn 25 Script not working
I’ve been using an old Novation Nocturn for years in Cubase and recently started getting into Ableton Live and the native support is horrible. This is were remotify CSS was supposed to come in and save the day but it’s not working as planned. Currently I have a script setup with a session box some session box navigation controls and various other related controls set to automap channel 1 with everything matched up in CSS. The script saves into Ableton with no errors and the little midi activity icon lights up in Ableton once loaded but nothing works the way it should.
On a possibly related note CSS has been really buggy for me so far as well. I had to delete a few controller setups and scripts because they became corrupted and started jumbling things up and creating doubles that would both select if one was selected in the controller editor.
I’m going to start the script again from scratch to see where things break because I remember getting the session box navigation to work in that first script that got all messed up. I’m just curious if anyone else has had a problem using this controller with CSS or if it’s just me?

From you second message, where are you seeing the message saying ‘there is no device on the selected track’ and what is the mapping you added to your script?
If you are seeing ‘there is no device on the selected track’ in Ableton Live’s status bar then its simply telling you that the device number which you are attempting to control doesn’t exist in your Ableton Live session. i.e. if you’re trying to control device 2 on the selected track, try adding 2 devices on that track first etc
