LED Clip State Feedback on Xone K3 – Solution?

After spending a considerable amount of time refining my touring live setup, I believe I may have found a way to achieve dynamic LED colour feedback in Ableton through CSS3 with the Xone K3.

The key discovery is this: while the controller cannot interpret CC data for LED colour changes, it can interpret MIDI note values to trigger different LED colours. This means that, if CSS3 could output clip state feedback as MIDI notes instead of CC messages within Session Box mappings, the K3 should be able to display different colours depending on clip state (check documentation here).

My feature request is therefore the following:

Please consider adding an option in the Script Editor to send Clip State LED feedback via MIDI Note messages (selectable note values) instead of CC messages.

From my testing and understanding of the K3’s MIDI implementation, this would allow proper translation of Ableton clip states into colour-based LED feedback on the controller. I would be very happy to help test and debug this functionality if needed, as I genuinely believe this feature would be highly valuable for live performers. I personally know several artists who rely exclusively on Xone K2/K3 controllers for their live sets, and this functionality would significantly improve their workflow while also making CSS3 a much more compelling solution for them.
