Controlling a *selected* chain’s volume, pan and sends
I can’t figure out how to control a selected chain’s volume, pan and sends inside a drum rack. I want it to work just like the ease of making a script of selecting a regular track and controlling these parameters. Is this possible?
Could you make a new script just like you did first where you are using sliders instead of endless encoders?
Screenshot of Velocity Control Settings in my controller template
It worked somewhat when I changed my control types to endless encoders instead of a sliders. But I do not know what an endless encoder is and when they are usable instead of a slider. – But it didn’t work properly. Every time I select a chain the volume fader jumps down without me turning my midi controller. See video:

And when I do try to adjust a selected chains volume with my midi controller the volume fader flickers / jumps back and forth quickly. Has it something to do with the endless encoder Velocity Control Settings in the controller template?
In comment #3 I meant midi controller instead of button. I want to be able to with one midi controller to control volume of the chain that I currently have selected – and with an other midi controller to to control pan of the chain that I currently have selected (chains in a drum rack).
Did the script work after adjusting the channel?
If so, does it work as you want it to work? I can make adjustments if not.
If not, do you get any error in the log in CSS??
In comment #3 you asked something about buttons to control Volume and Panning with. What do you mean with that? Do you want to be able to select either Volume or Panning with a button, and then control that Value with a Slider or Knob? Or do you want to use push buttons to change the Values of your Volume and Panning? Or something else?
The “Intialization” Reaction is only useful for controls that give some sort of feedback (like an LED ring for an endless encoder or a motorised Slider). In the Reaction the current Value of the Volume and Panning in the selected Chain is sent to the corresponding Control (a Slider in your case). If that Control has a way of showing feedback then your Control will be set to the Value that was sent to it. If you don’t use the type of Control that takes feedback, then the “Initialization” Reaction is useless.
