Midi Fighter 3D support

Hi! I have a midi fighter 3d that I want to use to trigger key commands in Ableton. Can I just modify the midi fighter twister controller script (basically removing the knobs and using only the buttons) and then add the mappings /key commands I want to use?

Thank you!

Also, to download the .json file: right click on the link to the file and select “Save Link As”.
Once saved, import it in CSS in the Controller Template section.

Did you import it in the Controller Template section (see picture)?
It works for me.

It seems like the MIDI configuration for the MIDI Fighter 3D is different than that for the MIDI Fighter Twister.

You can remove the knobs from the Twister’s template, but you’ll still need to reconfigure the Channels and CC’s in the template for each button. The MF3D also seems to distinct between Note and CC (Note’s using CH3 while CC uses CH4); I think those would need to be represented separately in the Controller Template (although, if you’re not mapping anything to the Notes you could leave them out, I suppose).

I made an example of how I think it should be configured (it’s only the first Virtual Bank). The big buttons represent the CC’s while the smaller buttons on top of the big one’s represent the Note. I don’t have an MF3D so I couldn’t test if everything is configured correctly.
