vstFighter script

1

Good morning everyone!
Attached you’ll find a script I created to control VSTs in Live. Nothing fancy—no modifiers or reactions. The tracks are the selected ones, and the Devices as well. I simply mapped the controller following Live’s parameters across the four banks, in the order you’ll see in the pictures.

In the archive, you will also find the settings for MF Utility and the pictures of the mapping order.

The faders and buttons are activated when a parameter is created, and the buttons (there’s obviously no feedback, just the fader knob going to the maximum) are mapped to the same parameters as the knobs.
Of course, in the MF Utility you can change the colors, and in the script, you can change the order or anything you want to do

The two upper side buttons allow you to enter the second mode (TRACK) in Bank 1.
There’s a picture showing what’s been mapped, but essentially:

  • Track Volume with Solo button

  • Track Pan with Mute button

  • Device scrolling with On/Off button

  • Play – Stop – Record (Arrangement) – Metronome and Loop

The only thing I couldn’t manage to do after several days of trying was switching the Twister’s banks using the buttons.
Someone on the forum explained how to do it, but to me it’s a completely foreign language.
If anyone knows how to do it and would like to modify the script, I’d be forever grateful.

Obviously, the parameters are also mapped for all Live Devices.
Hope this can be useful to someone!

Here is the updated script with the play-stop etc.. on every bank. So if you are on bank three for ex, you can press the side top buttons to enter end exit the TRACK mode.
