The mode changes while my finger is holding rhe button down but when I let go it changes back to the original mode. I found a work around by using 2 different buttons, one for each mode but wanted to switch...

Ableton sees it as one controller, and the clip launch and navigation all working fine , just missing the box around one of them.

So maybe it would be better to have a different script for each ?

I've sussed it out. The 2 Intech Grid controllers work very nicely as Red Box Clip Launchers with 2 separate scripts in combination mode. For the Encoders you have to set them as Absolute but specify midi...
