Hello, I’ve just made my first script for an Akai Midimix to control device parameters in Live. It took me a while, but very happy with the end result.

What tripped me up most was I couldn’t get ‘pickup’ to work properly. I could turn a knob once and then lose any further control. Eventually I tracked the problem down to the Midi Mix template I’d downloaded in CSS. The midi range for the knobs in the template is set at 1-127, when I changed it to 0-127 everything then worked fine.

I don’t know if this is set this way for a reason, but I thought I’d pass on the info in case the template needs an update and/or if the info is useful to others.

Great software, I bought it a while back knowing it would come in handy, really pleased to have now got my head round how it works and put it to good use, thank you.

Hey, well spotted!
The MIDIMix template is now updated so all knobs are set to 0-127.
Re-downloading it from the ‘on remotify’ section will give you this updated version.
