Built in Mapping functions don’t check if the track exists?

When adding a mapping from the built in mapping menu, like Mute or Solo, they don’t seem to come with a built in function to check if the track they are trying to control actually exist in the song. So if you click the mute button on your controller and the track is not there, the Log.txt gets absolutely blasted with a huge amount of error messages. (But there is no indication that something is going wrong in Live itself)
