Cant Target 2nd Device – please help

I have a Simpler and control it with Parameters that works fine or me.

Now I want a grouped MIDI-pitch before the Simpler

Unfortunately, I can’t figure out how to control it now.

Tried device number but whatever I try I am told “the device I want to control does not exist” by Ableton.
