creating a red box for use with QuNeo
(I tried to submit this via the Contact Us form, but that does not appear to be working.)
Hi Remotify,
I admit, I’m disappointed. I have CSS 3.0.1. I’ve followed https://remotify.io/how-make-your-first-midi-remote-script-using-remotify/ successfully. So now I’m trying to very very carefully follow https://remotify.io/how-make-session-box/. The images in the tutorial don’t resemble the UX in CSS3. When I click in to Clip launch 1 I see Search… and None. I have Learn set to On. I press the pad I want to map to that clip launch but nothing appears in that field in CSS3 screen. I tried to follow https://youtu.be/dbWwmy395Vc?si=7ViiHs2hqTJN3x1S, which know is for CSS2.5, but those instructions don’t work either. I have years of experience designing curriculum and clearly, while I always have more to learn, your instructions don’t meet what they need to. I’d really appreciate your help. Remotify looks promising, uh, but the reality is not so good so far. Thank you for your help! Sincerely, -Tom
P.S. I have been able to load the QuNeo11 script from https://files.keithmcmillen.com/products/quneo/content/Software%20Templates/Live/ using the instructions at https://shorturl.at/nWyHm and it works well. I want to play with the size of the red box.
P.P.S. What is Mode in CSS?
We have an updated video for CSS 3. This link will take you directly to the section on creating a red box: https://youtu.be/Rh8plD3ajno?si=b05ZQIaQa9hvCuYZ&t=1029
Make sure you have added controller inputs to the controller template first. That is also covered in this video at the start.
Thank you very much for this link, John! I would have clicked on the “Watch Video” link if it had been titled “Control Surface Studio 3: Full Walkthrough (How To Build Ableton MID Remote Scripts)”.
