Device parameter “take over mode” and value scaling

Dear all,

Till now i have no clue on how to adjust “device parameter” properly to have it value scaled in ableton.

No matter how i set it in CSS wheter it be “none/pick up/value scaled” and no matter how i set in ableton “none/pick up/value scaled”

once adjusting the absolute value knob it wont value scale.

How should i set the values in Ableton and CSS? Both on value scaling? If that is the case i am sure value scaling is not working properly in created CSS script.

Thanks for the help,

Regards,

Wilfred.

I have checked another setting it is the setting snapping i have adjusted it to off and value scaling still does not work. I have no idea what this setting affects.

Recap: value scaling setting “on” both in Ableton and in CSS and snapping “off” in CSS still does not work out for me.

I am doing something wrong but it is not obvious to me at all, if one coulkd help me out i would really appreciate

Hi Wilfred,

My apologies I missed this topic.

Tested value scaling with an absolute knob and an instrument rack macro.
It seems to jump to the knob position as soon as I turn the knob rather than “value scale” into place.
I’ll add this to our bug list to investigate further.

*edit I see we already have this in our bug list to investigate it. I’ll prioritise it.

Updated.
Try re-generating your script, value scaling is now working for me.
