How to customize LEDs on apc40 mk2 without functionality?
How do I customize LED colors on the pads of an APC40 mk2 without having scripted functionality? I’d like to organize the pads by color and map their assignments outside of CSS since I’m using a Push 2 to launch clips.
Experimenting a bit and for now I’ve landed on setting up 2 reactions for pads I want lit. 1 reaction upon script initialized that sends a velocity value to the pad and another reaction upon pressing the pad that sends the same velocity value.
I’m doing this so I can use a lit up pad to trigger keystrokes with Bome. Ultimately to load in .als files into my project on the fly.
I’ll stick with this setup for now and report back if I have any issues. Please let me know if anyone has a better way of doing this. Thanks!

As you have already discovered, the way to do this without using mappings would be through Reactions.
