How to reset parameters changed during performance?
In Ableton I am using a Sampler with 8 paramaters mapped.
These 8 parameters are controlled by 8 endless encoders on my Beatstep.
In the future it will get a lot more complicated – more knobs – this is a test setup.
My problem:
During a performance I tweak the parameters – then I want to reset them in order to “start fresh”.
I tried to do this with a Dummy-Clip in ableton which resets all parameters.
Unfortunately this does not work as expected.
Can anyone help me finding a simple way of resetting all parameters?
Have you tried setting ‘Snapping’ to ‘Off’ in your mapping?
Another thing you could try is (in the mapping settings):
Change the ‘Control’ option to ‘Custom’
‘Control Type’ should be set to ‘Absolute’
Make sure the ‘First’ and ‘Last’ are set to the on/off value that your button sends when pressed/released.
