If I’ve added a keyboard, can I also add octave shifting or is that only at the controller level? (In which case can I have octave shift buttons on the controller?

The way I’ve set this up is to add a midi pitch effect as the first device in my default midi track, then in CSS set up a couple of buttons with reactions that send a new parameter value to that device (on the selected track) to shift it up or down an octave – i. e. current value plus 12 or current value minus 12

Thanks @aventham77! That’s a great start. Then I’d like it to work on all tracks.

The CSS reaction can target that device (by name or index position) on “the selected track”, whichever that is; so I just have it saved as part of my default midi track, so it’s always created when I create a new track.

Ah I see, sorry – you mean one setting that takes effect globally. I haven’t tried it, but I suppose you should be able to loop through all the tracks rather than just affect the selected track. I’m away from my computer at the moment, so can only wish you luck with that!
