LED feedback only working from MIDI controller?

Hi,

I’m very new to CSS, so apologies if this is simple.

I have mapped my X-Touch Mini controller into CSS and setup and on/off button for a particular device on the master buss, this works great but I only get LED feedback from the MIDI controller not if the device is enabled of disabled within Ableton. The problem with this is that I need to see visually whether this device is enabled, and it’s enabled in my Ableton template. So when Ableton loads I assumed the LED would light up, but it doesn’t, am I barking up the wrong tree?
