Moved from Windows to macOS – Remotify keeps generating broken scripts (invalid character errors)

Hey everyone,

I recently switched from Windows to macOS and since then CSS 2.9 has been giving me a really strange issue.

The script gets generated and saved in the correct place, but Ableton just won’t load it.

As soon as I open Ableton, I get this error in the Remotify log:

What confuses me is that this happens even when I create a completely new script with a fresh template.
Literally an empty script with no changes can already throw this error. And it happens a lot.
On my Windows laptop I never had this problem.

Does anyone know what causes this on macOS or how to fix it?

Happens with nothing in it. Already reinstalled CSS.

the error must coming from another script.
Check what other scripts you have selected in Ableton > settings > Midi
and try removing them.
