Hi,

Does anyone know what the likelihood of Ableton ever allowing 3rd party control scripts (in addition to the existing manufactures ones) to be imported into the Push 3 Standalone?

I had the opportunity to try it, and it works!

  1. Connect Push to the same Wi‑Fi network as your computer.
  2. Open Live and, in the Live Browser, connect to Push.
  3. In Push’s User Library, create a “Remote Scripts” folder
  4. Drag and drop your custom Remote Script
  5. On Push, click go to Preferences – MIDI
  6. Select “Control Surfaces” and load your script (the user scripts turn up at the end of the list)

Thanks for the update
As it happens, I spent some time with over the Easter weekend and downloaded 12.4 beta on my Push to experiment with control scripts and also Ableton Link Audio and both work great.
This update is further justifying the investment in the Push standalone

This is awesome news, thanks for reporting back here!

Does the Push 3 have a user mode via button press, the same as Push 2?

Indeed, this is great news and vastly increases the appeal of the standalone for me. I’ll make the jump.
Push 3 still has the user mode with a dedicated button (but now I’m curious to know what you’re up to)
