Selected Track to Follow Box Movements

I know this is a basic one…but surely there are already basic scripts that do best practice for selected track chasing box? How does everyone else do it? ie I was going to simply move the box and whatever offset there currently is would remain so if track 3 in box was currently selected, then moving the box eg 8 tracks would keep the track selected in the 3 slot in the box?

Its interesting because everything is focused in the box ie parameters etc so it would be rare to select a track outside of this…unless Im missing others workflow. Im not saying to hardwire it, just keep it relative
