Takeover modes

I can’t get any takeover modes to work for the pots on my hardware. Any approach I’ve tried has the same results, with the software value snapping instantly to the hardware’s current value.

The hardware I’m trying to use has absolute encoders. I experience the same behavior for the volume of a selected track and for device macros.

I’ve tried all three settings (None, Pickup, Value Scaling) in the Controller Template, in the Input Control Override for the individual fader scripts, and in Live itself. I’ve also tried disabling Snapping. I believe I’ve tried these settings in every possible combination.

All of these configurations also spam my undo history with “MIDI Controller Action”, but I’m not sure whether that can be fixed in the current state of affairs.

I could be missing something obvious. Thanks for any help!
