Trigger Type Button

I have a number of buttons that need to be interpreted as trigger inputs ie response needs to be based only on incoming velocity or controller value eg 96: like the variable event types in eg Kontroller Editor or one of those where you can choose gate, latching, trigger etc Is that possible in CSS?
