Use Reactions or something to open Plug-In Window?

0

Hello everyone,

I’m sure this has been discussed before but I can’t find anything concrete.

I’m trying to use my drum pads to open up a plugin window depending on the device chain number. For example:

  • If my selected track contains 3 devices…
  • And I have 3 pads assigned to the first, second, and third devices in a tracks chain
  • Can I dynamically open each window based on their position in the selected track?

I couldn’t find an actual command to use in the main window along with the reactions.

Is this possible to do dynamically yet or do we have to set up a template in Ableton with Key Mappings before hand? It would be interesting to see this function for dynamic track selection.

Opening plugins isn’t a function which is available via MIDI remote scripting unfortunately.
I did come across a keyboard shortcut a while back which can open plugins, but I found it to only work sometimes. I think you first need to have clicked the plugin and then the shortcut works.
