Use two controllers in one script

Hi.

I have a controller that only has a lot of knobs.
And there is a keyboard with 16 pads.

Your answer has shown that you cannot change the parameter bank based on the device name.

So I tried to solve it using my limited controllers.

Here’s how I thought.

Pads : Assign ‘parameters banking’ to each pad. (Allocate two bank numbers for each pad and change mode to allocate a total of 32 parameterbanks.)
Controller (knob only) : Assign parameters to knobs for 32 devices. A total of 32 ‘parameters banks’ were created.

Now I thought I could select the device I wanted and then press the appropriate pad to manipulate the parameters on the controller.

But it didn’t work out.

It was possible to operate two controllers in one script. It was clear from everything else except for one thing.

Press the pad of the keyboard to show that parameter bank is selected at the bottom of the Ableton Live. But in reality my controller was maintaining the first parameter bank without a corresponding change.

I tried various experiments. The parameter bank has actually changed only when the parameter banking is operated on the same machine.

I was very disappointed. What went wrong with my work?

“It’s just to create a controller that selects parameter banking and a controller that controls parameters.”
Oh I understand now, in order to do this, Live would need to see the 2 controllers as 1 controller. To do this, you would need to run them through a midi interface of some sort.
