CSS hangs at startup. Mac OSX 10.11.6

Re-downloaded, re-installed latest CSS, also deleted the Control Surface Studio folder in main directory but each time CSS starts it hangs up at the update. Happened with 2.6.1 and now 2.6.2
Please help! Looking forward to getting this working with my Faderfox UC4.

Thank you for reaching out, when you see the ‘checking for updates’ screen as in your attachment, Control Surface Studio is attempting to contact our server. If it is stuck on this screen it means that something is preventing this from happening,
such as…
1. no internet connection
2. software on your computer is blocking CSS from contacting the server (i.e. antivirus software)
Could you check these and let me know if you were able to fix the issue.
