In Reactions, many Listeners, Values, and Actions require settings that target a specific Track, Scene, Device, or other elements in your Ableton Live session.
These settings are stored in the Path Menu, which defines the “path” to the element. For example, when adding a Device Parameter Action, you’ll need to set its path:
Track Number → Device Number
When a menu requires these settings, a Path Menu icon (a small hand pointing upward 
) appears on the left side of the menu.
Click this icon to open the Path Menu and configure the available Track, Scene, Device, or other targeting options.
