Control Surface Studio includes a library of pre-built controller templates, available for download directly from Remotify.io. This allows you to quickly get started without manually needing to build a new template from scratch.

Open the ‘On Remotify’ Templates Library

  1. Exit the Script Editor if you’re currently inside a script.
  2. Click the On Remotify tab at the top of the homepage.
  3. Click on the Controller Templates sub section.

You’ll now see a list of available pre-built controller templates that can be imported into your CSS.

Import a Controller Template

  1. Find the template for your MIDI controller (Example: MIDI Fighter Twister)
  2. Click the Import button at the underneath the Controller Template image.
  3. A success message will appear confirming that the controller template has been imported.

Review and Rename the Imported Template

  1. Go to the My Controller Templates section.
  2. Locate the newly imported template.
  3. Imported templates are named using the format:
    • Template Name imported (number)

To rename it:

    1. Open the Controller Template.
    2. Edit the name to remove or adjust the “imported” suffix which is automatically added.
    3. Save the changes.

Attach the Controller Template to Your Script

The newly imported template can now be attached to any script.

    1. Go back to the My Scripts tab.
    2. Open the script you want to use the template with.
    3. In the Script Panel > Controller Template menu, select your controller template from the list to attach it to the script.

Once attached, the inputs defined in your template will be available for use with the script mappings.
