I’m also having some issues with mode switching, but trying to use “set active mode” in a reaction based on selected device name change, instead of a button like you. Let’s say the mode switching just doesn’t seem to work for me, I had to revert everything to the global (mode 0) for my script […]
Hello, thank you for your answer. I tried to do it, but I couldn’t. I see it’s a good option, but I reached out to Allen & Heath and they gave me an easier solution. It’s a way to connect both controllers so the computer detects them as a single unit, so I can easily […]
It sounds like the LED settings are incorrect for the pads. You can set these in the controller template. You can use the LED Feedback section in each Pad to set it to the correct midi data.
Yes. Make sure you add a Red box (session box) to both scripts and turn combination mode on too (this is a menu option in the session box mapping type). You can also set the initial offset position of them, i.e. for the second controller, have its redbox positioned 4 tracks to the right so […]
Hi, you can use Reactions to display text or values to Ableton Live’s status menu using: script > display a value in Live’s status menu For the value to display use: Live object model > device parameter > value Make sure to configure the path menu to the correct device location And for the listener, […]
I can’t find a pre-built controller template for the Maschine unfortunately.
Hi John, Controller is absolute, that was the first thing I’ve tried it, no luck.
“parameter does not currently exist in the session for” This can display if the track doesn’t exist which the parameter that you’re trying to control is in (i.e. track 16). Regarding clip launch lights, have you configured the LED feedback settings in the session box mapping type?
You can use ‘can have chains’ in a condition to check if the device is a rack Live object model > device > all devices > can have chains There’s no way to essentially get the path to the device from the selected parameter.
Tried both absolute and relative. when I’m inside ableton and move the fader, I get blinking lights in each individual sample/simpler inside instrument rack, is that something to go from?
