Yes, there’s a clip launch and stop mapping option in the ‘session box’ mapping. Or you can use a Reaction with the actions clip start: live object model > clip (or clip slot) > fire clip stop: live object model > track > stop all clips
I did quite some testing to narrow down the problem further, as it is a showstopper for me – I rely heavily on the buttons of my two MFTs. Things I tried with the problem persisting: – Different computers: Macbook M4 and Macbook Air M2 – Different versions of Ableton: 12.2 vs 12.2b18 – Different […]
Hi Glenn, First many thanks for your help as always it’s extremely useful ! -Your solution does work vvery well, both regarding the continuous refresh and the blinking of the selected clip. -In the meantime, I made some progress of identifying the source of the orange lights and have partly ‘solve’ it (but your script is […]
One more observation: so far I had snapping switched on, if I disable it the value does not jump to 100 but stays at 127 (instead of going to 0 as it should).
Very strange. I attached my select parameter script and controller template. Does it work for you? And could you post your script, so I can test it?
I’ll check it out one of the following days. I don’t immediately see a way to do this with the Mappings in CSS so I’m guessing it will have to be done through a Reaction. My first thought: Listener should be “Selected Track has changed…” Then it checks if that Track is somewhere within the […]
Hi, I’d like to help out. I know my way around Reactions if custom stuff needs to be built, but if we can solve your problem through the other Mappings then I’ll try to check that out first. I’m not the most knowledgeable when it comes to Ableton, could you explain to me how the […]
I also tried send, volume and (native) device parameters and you are right: it works – so I dug deeper. It appears only some knobs of M4L devices show the faulty behavior (although strangely many also don’t). For example the MultiMap M4L device which comes with Ableton: if I try to control the input dial […]
In CSS3.0.1 I can’t replicate this issue with a button on the midi fighter twister. I’ve tested with a send, device parameter and track volume. They all function as expected going from max to min with each button press. Check the following – the midi velocity settings in the controller input in the controller template […]
Hi John are you talking about something in Max For Live? Because I Max for Live I know the path I should use – I can see SessionComponent in the original script of the device and it’s the same as in tutorials I follow about how to see SessionComponent in general. I have impression it’s […]
