Regarding changing the text on the LCD display, you can use the “Send Raw MIDI” Action of a Reaction to send SysEx messages (= an older, more versatile form of MIDI messages) to your controller. You can use the official Programmer’s Guide for the SL MKII to figure out how the messages are constructed. The […]
Hello John, 🙂 Glad to hear that! The template is for Launchpad X (firmware version 2 and upwards) Novation has 3 hardware versions of the Launchpad X. I am using the 3rd one, which is MK3. But that term is not listed on the novationmusic’s homepage like this. I think, the template will be compatible […]
The naming of your file and forum post has made this a bit confusing lol, which controller is it for? Launchpad X Launchpad Pro Mk3 Launch Control XL
Awesome, thanks for contributing this Florin. I’ll add it to our list of controller template. It will be available directly in CSS shortly.
Reaction actions ‘show view’ and ‘hide view’. ‘Live object model > Application > hide view / show view’ Then for ‘view name’, select ‘Browser’.
I have the same problem, but Ableton displays 2 session boxes for one script, and only one of them moves. The other controller‘s redbox doesn‘t move, but the tracks are getting updated.
Hello Helem I got your point 🙂 pretty interesting tool. That might be useful for other situations, too — like if you want to load a new set in Ableton with keystrokes or so. Thanks Florin
Hi Gwen, I have a follow up question, not really for this thread, but I thought, maybe you got some idea: I am using the button „device“ to switch between 2 modes of the scripts (toggled). This is working fine. The script switches the modes perfectly. However, I have an LED feedback reaction for the […]
I also didn‘t get it going with the LaunchControl, too. The LED-Feedback is either sorted to the Launch-Clip section OR to the playing-clip-section.  Would be nice to have the choice, to which of the ones, a specific LED feedback should be registered to.
You could export the script, edit the stuff in UltraEdit or a similar JSON editor and then import it back again. That‘s how I do it with bigger changes for surfaces.
